On December 6th, 2023, the Department of Operative Dentistry and Endodontics at Dental College HITEC-IMS hosted the Mastering Onlay Workshop. Organized by Prof. Dr. Beenish, Dr. Sharaz Ahmed, Dr. Amna Riaz, Dr Usman and Dr. Afshan, Dr Haleema and facilitated by Dr. Usman Anwer, Associate Professor at Islamic International Dental College, the workshop aimed to enhance participants’ skills in dental onlay preparation.
The primary objectives of the workshop were to provide a comprehensive understanding of dental onlay preparation and to facilitate hands-on learning and practice in the skills lab. Active participation was observed from dental students and professionals, including attendees from Dental College HITEC-IMS and other institutions.
The workshop kicked off with a detailed lecture by Dr. Usman Anwer, who shared his expertise and practical experiences in dental onlay preparation. The inclusion of case presentations offered a valuable real-world perspective, engaging participants and fostering a deeper understanding of the subject.
Following the lecture, participants transitioned to the skills lab for a hands-on session. This interactive segment allowed everyone to apply the knowledge gained and refine their skills under the guidance of Dr. Usman Anwer.
In conclusion, the Mastering Onlay Workshop was a resounding success, attributed to the dedication of Dr. Usman Anwer, the active participation of attendees, and the support from the leadership of Dental College HITEC-IMS. The event significantly contributed to the professional development of the participants.
