Poster Competition
A poster competition was organized by the department of Operative Dentistry at Dental college HITEC -IMS for the students of 3rd year BDS on 3rd November, 2021. The class was divided into 7 groups. The topics of poster presentation were “Caries Prevention, Isolation, Sterilization & Cross-Infection Control, Fundamentals of Tooth Preparation, Retainer & Matrix System, Caries Etiological Factors & Mercury Hazards (Amalgam Waste Management)”.
Students were assessed on the basis of creativity, presentation of their posters & thorough knowledge of their respective topics.
Event was attended by the Principal Dr. Irfan Shah & senior faculty from all the clinical & basic sciences departments of the dental hospital.
Dr. Irfan Shah (Principal), Dr. Beenish Qureshi (HOD Operative Dentistry), Dr Rai Tariq (HOD Community Dentistry) & Dr. Aamir Rafiq (HOD Prosthodontics) were amongst the judges.
The principal & the judges appreciated the effort put into the event by all the students and the Operative department. Some inspiring remarks were made by the principal for the students to encourage them further.
Certificates were handed out to 1st,2nd & 3rd position holders & certificate of participation was given to all the participants at the end.
