NATIONAL INDEPENDENCE DAY

Keeping its traditions alive, Dental college HITEC-IMS celebrated the National Independence Day with great zeal and enthusiasm.

A large number of faculty, staff members and students actively participated in the event. The event was organised by Dr Ambreen Ahsan, HOD Biochemistry Department and head of extracurricular activities. All the students and faculty members dressed in whites and greens. The day started off with a walk from lecture halls to Dental hospital. The walk was led by the principals of both Medical and Dental college. Prof Dr Irfan Shah, principal Dental college adressed the students and stressed upon the importance of hard work and ethical values. He emphasized that everyone should own their country and perform duties honestly. He said that students are the future of this country, and they should use their capacity to the fullest for the progress of the country.

The front lawn of Dental hospital was beautifully adorned and cake cutting ceremony was carried out. Silence was observed of 5 seconds to say silent prayer for the country. The program culminated with special prayers for the peace, solidarity, unity and prosperity of Pakistan.

The event came to an end with group photo of faculty, students and staff. The principal thanked Dr Ambreen for organising a successful event.
