Breast Cancer awareness Seminar

A seminar was arranged by Dr Ambreen Gul; president extra-curricular activities committee on 13th Oct 2023 on breast cancer as a part of campaign on its awareness. All female faculty, staff, house officers and students from 1 st yr BDS attended the seminar. Dr Aashi Ahmad /HoD Community Medicine department of Medical College delivered a comprehensive lecture on breast cancer. She delivered the lecture in a progressive manner starting from breast cancer incidence in world as well as in Pakistan covering all aspects including its signs & symptoms, investigations, its timely diagnosis and treatment options. She highlighted the role of self- examination by the females themselves. She has also shown a very informative video about how to do self-examination. At the end of the session the participants were encouraged to ask any query regarding breast cancer. Few of her departmental faculty shared their personal experiences with the audients. They were served with light refreshments at the closing of seminar. Faculty and students were very happy to attend such an informative seminar and promised that they will share this authentic information with their families and friends.
