Dr Maarij Saeed Elected as President APDSA Pakistan

Dental College HITEC- IMS is proud to announce, house officer Dr Maarij Saeed Rao (BDS Batch 2023) has been elected as President Asia Pacific Dental Students Association Pakistan and Country Representative in APDSA International for the year 2024-2025.

Asia Pacific Dental Students Association Pakistan is a non-government, non-profit organization; dedicated to empowering dental health professionals by providing opportunities for academic excellence, personal and professional growth, and strengthening their network regionally and globally.

Currently APDSA Pakistan consists of 21 member dental colleges across Pakistan and has a network of 18 member countries in the Asia Pacific region internationally.

Dr Maarij started her journey with APDSA in her third year of BDS as an Associate of Director Continuing Education where she played an integral role in organizing 3 hands on clinical workshops in Dental College HITEC-IMS, Akhtar Saeed Dental College Lahore and Islamic International Dental College. In 2023 she got elected as Director Continuing Education where she and her team successfully conducted;

• 3 day webinar series with 7 international speakers on the themes of future career options and current trends in dentistry
• 2 day workshop on Basic Life Support in Sindh Institute of Oral Health Sciences in collaboration with First Response Initiative of Pakistan (FRIP)
• hands on workshop “Radiant Smiles; Workshop on Teeth Whitening Procedures” at Dental College HITEC-IMS.
