Students Societies Dental College, HITEC-IMS

Principal dental college asked three students societies that are headed by final year BDS students give update about their activities in the current year. The three societies are:

1. Welfare society
2. Music society
3. Debating society

A meeting was held on 25^th August 2023 in conference room of dental college, principal, associate dean basic science dental college HITEC-IMS attending the meeting. The presidents of the societies presented the past activities and future planes through PowerPoint presentation.

The report of the societies is also presented in CCM of medical college on 30^th August 2023 with prior approval of principal medical college HITEC-IMS.

The main achievements of the societies include:

Welfare Society:

Activities Done:                                  

1. Financial assistance of needy patients
2. Free dental camps
3. Collection of donations for welfare works
4. Ramadan iftar for needy communities

Future Planes:

1. Establish an official bank account, as well as accounts with Easypaisa and Jazzcash
2. Review and amend the SOPs
3. Delegate responsibilities to juniors
4. Develop a well-structured program for soliciting donations
5. Coordinate the planning and execution of Medical and Dental camps

Music Society:

1. Singing competition in sports week
2. Musical night by the members of music society
3. 14^th August 2023 celebration

Farewell final year BDS:

1. Performance by the members of music society

• Jamming sessions during trips
