Anatomy

Introduction

The subject of Anatomy is one of the basic subjects of medical sciences which is taught in the first year of the BDS program. The course focuses mainly on the region of the head and neck. Our department offers a conventional system of teaching with methodology comprising of large group interactive sessions, tutorials, case-based learning, and practical sessions.

Mission

To enable the students to recognize anatomical structures, appreciate the developmental processes, and apply this knowledge of anatomy to the cases that they will encounter during their clinical training and future careers as practitioners. The department strives to provide the students with a thorough introduction to the characteristics, structure, development, function, and clinical significance of the human body.
