Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in collaboration with Pakistan Association of Dental Students conducted a full day workshop on 23 August 2023.
The facilitators of the workshop were Guest Speaker Prof.Dr.Col (retd) Waseem Ibrahim (Dean-Foundation University College of Dentistry & Hospital), Prof.Dr.Irfan Shah (Principal Dental College-HITEC IMS), Dr. Maimoona Siddiq (HOD-OMFS), Dr. Fatima Khattak (SR-OMFS), Dr. Adam Khan Danish (Registrar-OMFS) & Dr. Sadia Moin (Registrar-OMFS).
A total of 32 participants attended the workshop from Foundation University College and Hospital, Islamic International Dental College, Margalla College of Dentistry, Fatima Memorial Dental College, Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto School of Dentistry and Dental College HITEC-IMS .Target participants were House Officers and Final Year students. After the successful completion of the workshop, shields and certificates were distributed among participants. Each participant is awarded 04 CME credit hours by the National University of Medical Sciences.
This full-day activity comprised interactive lectures, small group discussions, and hands-on practice. The participants learnt & and practiced surgical flaps, biopsy procedures and various suturing techniques on biological specimens.
