Report-Basic life support workshop 2024

The Basic Life Support (BLS) Workshop was organized to equip BDS final year students with essential life-saving skills and knowledge necessary to respond to cardiac and respiratory emergencies. The workshop focused on the importance of immediate intervention to improve survival rates in cases of cardiac arrest and other critical conditions. The objectives of the work shop were that students should understand the principles of Basic Life Support, acquire Hands- on skills and to enhance their confidence and competence. After the welcome note a Presentation on the physiology of cardiac arrest and the role of CPR in improving survival rates was displayed. The practical sessions kept participants engaged and facilitated effective learning. Instructors provided feedback on their performance, emphasizing strengths and areas for improvement. The positive feedback and active participation reflect the workshop’s impact and value. The participants were happy to attend this workshop and recommended for the refresher courses in future. Continued training and practice are essential to maintain and enhance these life-saving skills.
